What people say

These are extracts from the many letters and thank you cards that we have received at Springfield House over the last 25 years. We save them because they mean a lot to all of us.

‘Thank you seems too small a word to express our gratitude for the love and care given to our mum and grandma. I’ve tried to work out what makes Springfield House different to other care homes, and come to the conclusion it’s simply full of love. All of the practical needs are taken care of, like anywhere else, but the extra ingredient is love, and that gives the whole place a feeling of home and family.’

‘We are writing to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to you and all your staff who have cared for and loved M throughout her time living at Springfield House. During these past months it has been heart rending for us to watch her fade and decline. It was through those difficult weeks that her young carers , both day and night, showed their true worth and resilience by the loving, caring, sensitive and encouraging manner in which they attended to her every need.’

‘I would like to say a big thank you for all the loving care you gave A over the years she spent with you. I know you all loved her and we thank you for that.’

‘Thank you to you all for the love, care and attention which you gave to Mum over the last year. She was very happy and settled with you. You also made all the family and her friends so welcome whenever we visited.’
